The Birthday Club
Gathering one Sunday each month, The Birthday Club serves THREE amazing missions at once:
First, it is an afternoon of respite for parents of special needs children in our community, a day when they can entrust their super special children, siblings included, with us for a few hours of play time so the moms and dads can enjoy a few hours of rest time.
Second, it is an AMAZING afternoon of fun, fellowship, FOOD, and most importantly, INCLUSION between children with "different abilities" and local "missioners" of all ages and abilities! Over 2 hours of "open gym" fun time at Hot Shots Cheerleading in Rome, participants enjoy all the pizza and Birthday cake they can eat, and for anyone with a birthday that month, volunteers and siblings included, they enjoy a special birthday present wrapped just for them!
Third, it gives local "missioners" the chance to realize the blessings they've been given, connect them with a local opportunity to let those blessings flow, and experience the true joy that only comes from knowing you are being the change you want to see in your world!
For a donation of $40/month, you can sponsor a monthly Birthday Club experience for the special needs parents and children of our community. Through our monthly Birthday Club gatherings, we believe mission is ALWAYS possible!
